Rooster’s crowing awoke me
crack of dawn likely you’ll see
My body’s heavy
and my eye’s still sleepy

Sunlight peeking through
telling me to rise and start anew
A new day has come
a lovely day to welcome

Eyes half-shut
I went to the hut
Chickens clucked
their eggs I plucked

Outside the hut
even if my eyes still half-shut
Saw geese turned my way
moving fast ready to slay

Oh my geese
spare me please
Fast pounding of my heart I can hear
they feed on my fear

Rooted to my spot
I want to give it a shot
Run I must
afraid they’ll Bite me and have a real blast
