Here I am out standing in the morning light
had to close my eyes from the peeking sunlight
Eyes caressed by dewdrops
falling from the tree tops
Seeking solace for my wretchedness
a fleeting moment of weakness
Tiredness seeps into my bones
even my body groans
Torn by ambivalent emotions
had to stall out decisions
Nagging anxiety lingers
nervously twisting my fingers
Why can’t I find the beauty herein?
all I see is the gray within
Hoping I can surpass
this phase shall come to pass.
