Blaring lights signaled me all along
Ignored a chain of beacons
Too focus on my lightheartedness
Never had a suspicion
My friend’s duplicity,
overcast with the shadows of her saccharine words
Even worn a thin smile
And veiled eyes I did not see
I have loved her so dearly
Devastated I was from her duplicity
How could someone not held dear my truthfulness
Her demeanor Puzzled me more
My trusting heart shattered into a million pieces
It has been a lesson again
I must be quick-sighted as a cat next time
Not to undermine what my gut feeling says

I always trust my gut feelings. Well done.
