I’m trying to catch up with Cee’s black & white photo challenge. I hope it’s not too late 😊. Here’s my entry for the topic of flowers.

Caballero, or Bulaklak ng Paraiso as we call it in our country, are known for their medicinal purposes. I remembered eating the seed-pods when I was little. I saw my older playmates eating them so I have to partake too. They are widely cultivated ornamental plants mostly used in urban landscapes.

Hibiscus or Gumamela, as we call it in our country, is also widely used as an an ornamental plant. When we were children, we crushed the flowers and the leaves to get the sticky juice for making bubbles. It was also popular in our science experiments during elementary days.
