Sweet longing for better days
remembering the now ancient ways
Where did time has gone
definitely moved swiftly on
Mindful of laid-back time
not a care if the clock’s music chime
Playing ceaselessly under the sun
letting imagination run
Innocent days lost
in the wind, foolishness tossed
From slow dwindling of time passing
the imagination of a child’s mind slowly coarsening
Children’s laughter nearby
made me pause and sigh
As long as I’ll never forget I was once a youngster
recalling will rouse in me the carefree laughter

Very beautiful, i always remember the days when i was a child, my parents solved all my problems, i didnt have to worry about finding a job or school or thinking that i should be doing something meaningful in my life. The biggest worry then was either homework or if i missed the saturday morning cartoons. This poem made me recall all that glorious time. Thank you for this. 😊🌸

Those fragments, are what makes your heart whole. Remembering yourself as a child, knowing that the Winnie who you are today. Was shaped by the innocent, your imagination; now memories, of those sweet younger days!
A wonderful post! 😊
