What’s the thing that’s keeping you from accomplishing your goals? From going out of your comfort zone? Lack of courage, isn’t it? We all hesitate when we do not know what will happen and what’s out there. Fear of the unknown is what’s keeping us. I for one hesitate too but I always try to defeat that coward part of me.
So when I read dear Richa’s (Iscriblr) post about Courage, I told myself I won’t miss the opportunity in joining her challenge and share my experience.
ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
Every Thursday, I will pick up a “prompt word” to be acted upon by y’all. You are free to go wild with your imagination and interpret the “prompt” in any way that you like – photo, prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, quotes, articles or drawing/painting – whatever works for you!
In short, it’s all about you being the BOSS and choosing the best way possible to express and depict your understanding of the prompt and go berserk! – Richa, Iscriblr
Topic: Courage
I don’t want to sound like a braggart but I don’t balk at daring adventures unless it involves blood (shudders).😁
Here’s a photo (don’t laugh but I’m still overweight there 1 year and 4 months ago) of my daring adventure with my friends from where I used to work. We were supposed to eat and catch up only but we saw this hanging bridge a few meters from the restaurant we went to.
There are a resort and restaurant in Antipolo, Rizal, Philippines called Cloud 9 as the name implies. There’s a hanging bridge which connects the restaurant towards a terrace with a 360 view of Antipolo and Manila. We were told it is best to see the city’s skyline from dawn.
We tested our limits if we can successfully climb it. I did after gripping the rope tightly, sweating profusely and walking like a zombie. 🤪😂 I did conquer my fear of heights. It was a real relief after reaching the top. 😆
How about you? What daring adventure did you do? Tell me about it.
Beautiful photographs and beautiful message!

you are simply gorgeous – no other words to describe your pretty smile and lovely eyes! love all the photos and you taking the risk , nothing gained if you don’t and no you can surely brag about it, it is an accomplishment.
i am not brave but out of necessity i do things – because i am restless maybe. my recent adventure i am so proud of was travelling to NYC on my own! i think we inspire our kids by our actions and so we must chose wisely, we must inspire and encourage not make them feel anxious.
thank you for your sharing Winnie, with every story i feel a stronger bond with you

Awww! I feel the warmth from your lovely comment. It feels like a hug from you, dear Gina. A friend told me my eyes tells a lot about me. They are very expressive.
You and I are the same in the restlessness department hahaha. It’s the wanderlust in us, isn’t it?
And you have the courage too for being on your own in NYC! I too can survive alone in that city. I prefer to explore on my own though my family won’t let me lol. It’s because of an accident I had almost 4 years ago.
I still have so many stories to tell. That’s why I started a blog. 😉 I’m really a chatterbox. My husband told me once that he runs out of things to say to me. I told him we can never run out of stories to tell. There’s a lot of things happening around every day. Well, he has his own reasons for being like that.
See, my reply became a novel already lol. You are easy to talk to. The time will be short for us when we do meet.

i believe we could talk all day and well into the night! i am not very talkative but i like to listen and ask question. i too have many stories, i guess its because we have lived full lives and appreciate our blessings.
your husband sounds like a warm and caring man, who really wants to please you and see you happy, i am glad your family is protective…like my kids are over me. you are special, though i hope that accident was not too serious. more for us to chat about in future!
yes you are eyes are very pretty, they sparkle and am sure when you laugh it really shines.
yes i love to travel and my kids worry about me but i tell them i will be careful so they let me go.
ah i love your responses, it is like a story to me and each time i learn something so wonderful about you.

Oh, once you trigger my talkativeness I won’t stop lol but I love listening and asking questions too. Too bad I did not pursue the career perfect for my personality.
Yes, our family worry for us because of their love for us. My family has a valid reason for being overprotective of me. I’ll send you the link about that accident.

We don’t generally go for skiing or snowseeing or mountain climbing during family trips just because it is usually high up in mountains and father is too afrai of hieghts.😂😂

Your life is always pessimistic about tomorrow. Why should it be so, not God always takes care of you.
