I am challenging myself to write every day for me to improve my writing so I join this 15-minute Fiction Week challenge. The challenge was to create a story or poem based on the given photo in 100 words.

So here it goes:

Rose was standing in the corridor when there was an insistent knocking at the door.

”Who is it? she asked over and over again. There was no answer.

She was getting agitated at that moment as there’s not even a hint of a shadow under the door.

”If you don’t answer back I’ll blow you up with this shotgun, bluffed Rose.

As soon as she said it, there were a pair of dark eyes that took a peek at the top windows. She stood immobilized. Her muffled scream caught in her throat as an eerie shadow entered through the door.
